Founder’s Corner: “Why I Said Yes”

There are moments in life when God calls you to something bigger than your comfort, your plans, and even your understanding. And when He called me, I didn’t feel ready.

I didn’t have every resource. I didn’t have the full blueprint. I didn’t have all the answers.

But I had a burden for people, a heart to serve, and a promise from God. And sometimes, that’s all the purpose needed to begin.

Before ALAYA Ministries ever had a name, a logo, or a program — it was a quiet whisper in my spirit. A tug that kept telling me:

“You were healed to help others heal. You were restored to help others rise. You were called to activate leadership in others, the way I activated it in you.”

I didn’t grow here overnight. I was stretched here. I was molded here. I was broken in some seasons and rebuilt in others. There were times I questioned God and times I questioned myself — but even in the uncertainty, purpose wouldn’t let me go.

My “why” isn’t just an organization. It’s not just a nonprofit journey. It’s not a title, a program, or a building.

My “why” is people. It’s the girl who feels unseen. It’s the woman who is rebuilding her identity after life shook her. It’s the person trying to lead, love, heal, and grow all at once. It’s anyone who has ever looked at their broken pieces and wondered if anything beautiful could come from them.

I know what it feels like to start again. To rise when life tried to sit you down. To rebuild your confidence and reclaim your voice. To step into rooms God prepared before you believed you belonged there.

I am not just a founder — I am a witness that you can survive what was meant to break you and still rise in grace, in power, and in purpose.

ALAYA is a ministry — yes. But it is also a mission. A movement. A testimony that God truly uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things.

It will be real. It will be transparent. It will hold lessons, faith, reflections, leadership, growth, and healing. It will be a space where we grow together, learn together, and rise together.

If you’re reading this, hear me: You don’t need to have it all figured out to begin. You don’t need to be perfect to be chosen. All God needs is your yes.

And once you give Him that — watch Him lead you into rooms, opportunities, and impact you never imagined.

Welcome to the journey. Welcome to the becoming. Welcome to the space where faith meets purpose, and purpose meets assignment.
